How do I get my car fixed after a car accident?

The Answer
In Colorado, the at-fault driver's insurance must pay for your repairs, but getting them to actually pay the full value is harder than it shoulud be. If you have collision coverage or "full coverage,"" you can file a claim through your own insurance company for a faster payment. You'll probably have to pay a deductible up front, but that will eventually be refunded once the other driver is confirmed at fault. If you go through the other driver's insurance, you can skip paying your deductible but repairs will probably be delayed while the insurance company "investigates."
You can choose your own repair shop. Insurance companies cannot force you to use their "preferred" one. And you may be owed not just repair costs but diminished value and loss-of-use compensation (including the value of a rental in the interim). If the other driver is uninsured, we can also pursue a UM/UIM claim through your policy.
More often than not, insurance companies will refuse to take responsibility or pay the full value that is owed because they believe there is no threat that an attorney will take them to trial. Lionheart Injury Law has your back. We will help make sure that your car gets fixed and that an insurance company pays everything it should, and unlike most other firms, we are willing to take even small property damage claims to trial if necessary to hold insurance companies accountable.
